Simon Raj Jacob

Simon has been a guitar tutor for four years. He started his music education at St Marks School of Music and moved on to the Bangalore School of Music, where he completed his practical and theory exams in Western classical music. Drawn to the guitar for it's unique sound, versatility across different genres and its polyphonic possibilities, Simon is keen to help young guitar players develop a good theoretical foundation because he is convinced it will help them develop far more rapidly on the instrument and give them the tools to express themselves more fully. He always advices aspiring musicians to listen widely, develop a good ear for music and waste no time in trying to compose, no matter how simple or derivative the song.
